Successful Cape expedition to take part in Heir Island 5k run

By @SimonCocking

5k run on Heir Island. Someone said it was flat and it would be a good idea to paddle over, run the 5K and then paddle home. As the storm rages now, we were extremely fortunate with the weather and we did manage to make it over there. Even more Capers came by boat, many of whom also ran in the first Heir Island 5k event. It was well organised, lovely views, beautiful island, friendly people and hopefully we’ll do it again. All of the Cape team completed the course and acquitted themselves with honour! Great idea, if a little tired now.
