Sealife Pelagics

Shearwater Wildlife Tours ‘Sea-life Pelagics’ are the perfect platform to observe some of

Ireland’s most impressive Sea-life.

Our cruises operate throughout the year from several West Cork locations. Trips are a minimum of four hours duration and cover as much habitat as possible from inshore to pelagic. On all trips we set a chum trail (a fish based luring substance) to attract Sharks and Seabirds to the boat.

To date, our trips have been very successful with numerous sightings of rare and scarce seabirds along with the commoner species and several species of Whales and Dolphins along with Sharks, Seals, Sunfish and the occasional coastal Otter. These trips are a photographers dream and close up views of Dolphins and Seabirds are often the norm.
It is recommended that suitable clothing be worn on our cruises. The weather may and often does change so this should be kept in mind. Also suncream and a hat should be worn as protection from the sun which can be harsh on fine days. A light lunch and refreshments are recommended for our longer cruises.

Bad weather may occasionally force cruises to be shortened or cancelled. All bookings on trips that are cancelled will be rearranged for an alternative date or fully refunded.
